Jean Battles, Choir Director Emerati, will host the two adult forums during Advent, though her dates have changed.  Her theme for Sundays, December 4 and 11, is The Influence of Art  on our Perceptions of Christianity Today.

Operation Santa Claus is in full swing.  Check with the kids of SPY if you'd like to participate. Many thanks to Pat Cotterill who's been making weekly telephone calls to remind lay people about their upcoming Sunday duties.  This has been a ministry of loveand tedium! Please know, those phone calls will not be ringing for the duration.  So please, be sure to check your calendars in the Sunday bulletin, with your monthly Vision and linked below for your upcoming lay commitments.  And please also remember if you are not able to fulfill your commitment it is up to you to find a substitute.our updated St. Paul's directory will are still available for you to pick up in
the office next week. After that they will be mailed out. The office will be closed on Thursday and Friday this week for the Thanksgiving holiday.

It's time to submit your December Vision articles and announcements.  Sarah is especially looking for a personal story, remembrance, or new and old traditions that your family might have.  Personal stories make the newsletter much more interesting....how about you? Do you have something you'd like to share? This is an "All Call" for an "All-Skate" for a spur-of-the-moment "Road Trip" all the way across the River! Donna Egbert and Marti Neal are inviting you to join us on Saturday, 3 December, 2011for an evening of Gilbert and Sullivan selections at Shelia and Ken Pyle's very own Rudyard Kipling (a.k.a. the "Mother Lodge") 422 W Oak St, Louisville, KY 40203 The evening begins with dinner at 6:30 PM followed by the show. The cost would be what ever you order from the menu (which features hometown favorites they are especially known for their burgoo and their pizza -- and hand-crafted beers, many from local breweries). The Show, presented by the U of L Music School is FREE! If you are interested please contact Marti Neal @ marti.neal@insightbb.com so we can let Shelia and Ken know how many tables
to set aside for us. Also, in that this might skew the number of meals they will need for the evening it would be right polite to let them know how many of us are planning to show up.

Let me know, also, if you would need a ride. (I think car-pooling would be helpful anyway because of night vision issues which some people have.  Also, parking can be an issue.)

Happy Days This Week

Catherine Welliver celebrates her birthday today
her dad Tim Welliver will celebrate on Tuesday the 29th.
Alice Bower has a birthday the day after Thanksgiving on Nov. 25

Vestry News The vestry will have two new members with the August meeting!  Don Sodrel has accepted the appointment to fill Rick Smith's unexpired term.  Mike Roy has accepted the appointment to fill Debbie Hubbard's unexpired term.  Both Rick Smith and Debbie Hubbard resigned earlier in the year.  Thanks to both Don and Mike for being willing to lend their expertise to the vestry in this way, and thanks to both Rick and Debbie fore their service to the vestry of St. Paul's!

Pack The Bus  I've been busy gathering all the school supplies for Pack The Bus  and we are almost ready, but we still need more volunteers.  I'm guessing you are planning on helping, but just haven't made the call.  I'm getting a bit anxious so if you could just let me know, it would sure help.  The official packing times are Wednesday, July27 from 6:00-9:00 pm, and Thursday, July28 starting at 11:00 until we're finished. If there is another time when you could lend a hand, just let me know.  I haven't heard anything from St. Paul's youth.  This could be a wonderful place for them to use some of that energy to make a difference in our community. We have a lot to do, and a lot of little ones at S.Ellen counting on us. Please contact me to RSVP at 944-9386 or artbyjoanna@gmail.com.  Thanks for your help, Joanna Bayer
